Women Kicking Racism (WKR)

WKR is open to any womon. We meet at 6:15 P.M. every 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Albuquerque Center for Peace & Justice to support each other's efforts to free our thoughts, feelings, and lives of racism and white supremacism. We do not have any illusions that by attending group we are performing a charitable act, improving others' lives, or changing the world. We are struggling together for relief from the overarching damage of racism and white supremacism. As Margaret Jamison writes, we are trying to gain "...the potential for unfettered companionship..." with people of color.

☼ One thing that white people can do right away
is to talk with a good friend, who also has white skin privilege,
about one another's first memory of race.☼
