In Memoriam, W. Kimbel Fisher

Kim Fisher, a long-time supporter of the Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice, died on July 10. In May, Kim was hospitalized after being struck by a car as he rode his legendary bicycle. He was healing when pneumonia delivered the denouement.

Kim volunteered often in the office, on the administrative committee, and as a generous donor and friend. He also helped with building repairs and computer/projector issues. Kim was an avid supporter of the Middle East Peace & Justice Alliance. We will miss his wonderfully funny sense of humor and gentle heart.

Kim was born on October 11, 1922, in Brooklyn, NY. He worked as an air traffic controller in San Francisco and Grants, NM. As an ensign during World War II, he met and married Anne Koniuk, an Army nurse, in 1944. Anne died in 2002. Kim is survived by two sons, Toby and Jeff, both of Albuquerque.

We love you Kim.
