Proposal: Project on Darfur	Proposal: Project on Darfur PROPOSAL: The "Project on Darfur" of the Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice recommends: That the "Task Force on Darfur" of the First Unitarian Church contact the "Save Darfur" Organization with the suggestion that we all contact the White House, Congressional Leaders, and NATO Leaders to: a) convince the Chinese Government that it is in its best interest to persuade the Sudanese Government (Omar Hassan Al-Bashir) to allow the United Nations Peace-Keeping Forces to enter Sudan; b) to assist the OAU (Organization of African Unity) to bring peace between the Darfuri people and the Sudanese Government. If the Chinese Government does not use its persuasive powers with Sudan, it is possible that the countries which have signed on will not attend the 2008 Olympics. The time is NOW for the Genocide to end. We hope that the above proposal will lead in turn to Peaceful Negotiations.
